International Studies Alum Ana Arzate Reflects on the Value of Her Global Internship In Paris

Getting accepted to the University of Iowa was the beginning of many “firsts” for Ana Arzate and her family. As a first-generation college student, attending college meant taking a new path no one in her family had taken before. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Studies in 2017.

PHIL Student Success Grants: Now Accepting Applications for Summer/Fall 2019

The PHIL Student Success Grants provide funding for a variety of activities for undergraduate and graduate students outside of the classroom, such as research, travel, and service projects. The Office of the President has generously allocated $5,000 per semester to help enhance the student experience at the University through these grants. Applications for Summer/Fall 2019 funding will be accepted until February 28th. The goal is to allow students to pursue opportunities that might not otherwise be possible without funding.
